Somos Clave is a coalition of organizations working to build long-term power among North Carolina’s Latine community by strengthening civic participation and combating misinformation
Somos CLAVE unites organizations, advocates, and community leaders to strengthen the power, visibility, and wellbeing of Latine communities across North Carolina. We work collectively to advance equity, justice, and opportunity through coordinated action, advocacy, and storytelling.
We envision a North Carolina where Latine communities are seen, valued, and have equal access to the resources, representation, and respect needed to thrive socially, economically, and politically.
Somos CLAVE was created in response to the growing need for a unified Latine voice in North Carolina. For years, community organizations worked tirelessly but often in isolation, advocating on issues like healthcare, education, workers’ rights, and immigration without a shared space to connect strategies or amplify impact.
Somos CLAVE works with Latine communities throughout North Carolina—urban and rural, immigrant and U.S.-born—uplifting the voices of families, workers, students, and leaders across the state.
